How I Research Keywords for Bangla Content
Keyword research in English is a solved problem — thousands of tutorials exist. Keyword research in Bangla is a different game. The tools are weaker, the data is thinner, and the opportunities are bigger precisely because fewer people do it well.
Here’s my exact process.
Why Bangla Keyword Research Is Different
Three things make it unique:
- Tool data is unreliable. Most keyword tools have thin Bangla data. Search volumes are estimates at best, fiction at worst. You can’t trust the numbers blindly.
- Spelling varies wildly. The same word gets spelled 3–4 different ways in Bangla (transliteration chaos). Each variant is technically a different keyword.
- Competition is lower. Fewer creators do proper research in Bangla. The bar is lower, which means good research gives you a bigger edge.
- What do my YouTube comments ask about?
- What do people ask in Facebook groups?
- What did coworkers ask me when I worked full-time?
- What problems do beginners in my niche actually have?
- Type a seed word in Bangla script (e.g., অনলাইন ইনকাম)
- Note every suggestion
- Add a space and a letter (অনলাইন ইনকাম ক, খ, গ…) to expand
- Repeat in Banglish (online income bd, taka income)
- Repeat in English (online income bangladesh)
- Are the results relevant? Sometimes Google shows irrelevant pages — that means the keyword is underserved.
- Are the results thin? A 300-word article ranking #1 is a vulnerability. I can beat it with depth.
- Are the results old? A 2019 article ranking in 2026 is beatable with fresh content.
- Who ranks? If it’s all big news sites, harder. If it’s forums, Facebook posts, and thin blogs — that’s an opening.
- Learn: “অনলাইন ইনকাম কিভাবে” (how to earn online) → tutorial content
- Compare: “ফ্রিল্যান্সিং vs চাকরি” → comparison content
- Buy: “ইবুক কিনুন” → product pages
- Solve: “বিকাশে পেমেন্ট নিবো কিভাবে” → specific problem-solving
- Google Autocomplete — primary demand discovery (free)
- YouTube Autocomplete — video intent discovery (free)
- Google Keyword Planner — rough volume ranges (free, needs Ads account)
- Ubersuggest — supplementary data, competitor content ideas (freemium)
- Google Search Console — what I’m already ranking for (the best keyword tool is your own data)
- অনলাইন ইনকাম / অনলাইন আয়
- ফ্রিল্যান্সিং / ফ্রিলান্সিং
- ইবুক / ই-বুক
- Trusting tool volumes blindly. A tool says 1,000/month. Reality might be 200 or 5,000. Use volumes for relative comparison, not absolute planning.
- Ignoring Banglish. Huge numbers of Bangladeshis search in Roman script (Banglish). “Online income bd” has massive volume. Don’t only target Bangla script.
- Targeting English keywords with Bangla content. If someone searches in English, they expect English content. Match the language to the query.
- Skipping SERP inspection. The tool says “hard.” The SERP shows three forum posts from 2018. The tool is wrong. Always look.
My 5-Step Process
Step 1: Start with Seed Topics, Not Tools
I don’t open a keyword tool first. I start with questions real people ask:
Tools give you data. People give you intent. Intent matters more.
I keep a running list of real questions. Every comment, every DM, every conversation is a potential keyword.
Step 2: Mine Autocomplete (Bangla + Banglish + English)
Google and YouTube autocomplete are my primary research tools for Bangla. Here’s how:
Autocomplete shows you what people actually type — not what tools estimate. It’s raw demand data, free, and updated constantly.
Pro tip: YouTube autocomplete and Google autocomplete show different suggestions. YouTube skews toward “how to” and tutorial intent. Google skews toward informational and transactional. Mine both.
Step 3: Check the Competition Manually
For each promising keyword, I search it and look at the top 10 results:
I don’t trust difficulty scores from tools for Bangla keywords. Manual SERP inspection is the real difficulty score.
Step 4: Cluster by Intent
I group keywords by what the searcher actually wants:
Each intent cluster becomes a content piece. Related keywords become H2s within that piece. This is how I build topical authority — not random articles, but intent-matched clusters.
Step 5: Prioritize by Opportunity, Not Volume
In Bangla SEO, I don’t chase the highest volume. I chase the best opportunity ratio:
> (Clear intent × Weak competition) ÷ Effort to rank
A 500/month keyword with weak competition beats a 5,000/month keyword dominated by news giants. I’d rather rank #1 for 10 small keywords than #47 for one big one.
Tools I Actually Use
Notice: no expensive tools. For Bangla content, manual research beats tool data because the tools’ Bangla databases are thin.
The Spelling Variant Strategy
This is Bangla-specific and powerful. The same concept gets searched in multiple spellings:
I target the most common variant as the primary keyword and naturally include variants in the content. This captures traffic from all spellings without keyword stuffing.
What Most People Get Wrong
The Bottom Line
Bangla keyword research is less about tools and more about understanding how Bangladeshis actually search — in Bangla script, in Banglish, in mixed queries, with local intent.
Do the manual work. Mine autocomplete. Inspect SERPs. Cluster by intent. The competition isn’t doing this, which is exactly why it works.
I apply this process across all my properties — the Bangla guides on superpreneur.bd, the English content on superpreneurbangladesh.com, and my video topics on YouTube.
Research tells me what people are searching for. The other half of the decision is judgment — here is how I choose what to teach next.
